My team builds fun and engaging learning experiences to enable our internal teams to keep learning and growing in their roles. I also make sure that the way we're teaching is effective. This means constantly collaborating across the business to figure out how, together, we can best support our teams."

“I feel lucky to be in a role where I get to be creative every day. I’m constantly exploring new ideas and evaluating how we can improve. I'm always looking for ways to make learning more engaging and accessible. Whether it's through gamification, in-person workshops, or other emerging technologies, I'm eager to explore how we can leverage different tools to enhance our training programs.”

Laura sees her relatively new role here as a source of both challenge and opportunity.

"Yes, there’s a learning curve which is true in any new role, but that is what makes it exciting! Being able to build something from the ground up is extremely rewarding and it has been fun to be able to leverage my past experience and expertise to build a strong training foundation for our teams."

"Our internal teams operate in a ‘best of both’ hybrid model, with much of our sales teams being out in the field, so one of my biggest challenges is catering to diverse learning styles and needs. There can’t be a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. It’s my job to create training programs that are inclusive and effective for everyone, regardless of where and how they work."

Laura is thriving. This is, in part at least, due to finding as much inspiration in her colleagues as the students who use our products.

"I'm surrounded by incredibly talented and passionate people. Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, in education and beyond. They have a deep understanding of the needs of our customers since many were in their exact shoes! I am constantly learning from them not only on how to best meet their needs, but the needs of the educators and students we serve. Their expertise, passion and dedication to our mission motivates me every day."

“We love to learn and have fun along the way!”

Meet our **Senior Manager of Distribution at EPC (Entertainment Partnerships and Content)**. **Claire** joined us nearly four years ago. From the outset, she had a clear vision for her role. 

“I’m responsible for distributing our TV series to broadcasters and streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime across Europe. If you see our shows on ITV, Cartoon Network, or any other major platform, that’s all part of what I do.”

Prior to joining, Claire had a background in content licensing for Out of Home venues, such as outdoor cinema and on-board entertainment. Her first brush with the LEGO Group, though, was through her brother’s fascination with the brand.

“I had lots of LEGO® around me, thanks to my brother. I wasn’t particularly good at building, but I always admired the brand. It just has something about it. A great reputation as well as being family owned. I love how the name never seems to fail in making people smile. And when it’s somewhere you work, it’s a reminder of how incredibly lucky I feel. There’s an instant recognition and a shared sense of connection through fond memories.”

For Claire, the love of her role goes beyond what she does, as she’s keen to point out:

“It’s the first company I’ve worked where values are not just words on a page. From day one, I’ve seen the way we do things - with curiosity, focus, and bravery - is so much part of our experience. Everyone here lives them, and they’re part of our daily work.”

The integration of these values into her work is evident. One recent project involved collaborating with the e-commerce team to boost visibility for our content on Amazon. 

"The entertainment landscape, particularly for children, is facing significant challenges. While it remains a powerful way to engage our audience, our TV and streaming partners are experiencing a decline in viewership as consumers are presented with more competing options. To innovate, we approached Amazon with a holistic proposal aimed at breaking down silos and working as one team. The plan involved not only selling our entertainment content through Amazon but also increasing our investment in promoting it on their platform. This collaboration was about more than just adding content—it was about creating synergies. Our content would boost brand awareness and drive sales on Amazon, benefiting both parties."

The success of this initiative is a great example of a creative solution from colleagues working together. 

“We’re constantly looking for innovative ways to bring LEGO entertainment to audiences. I try to find opportunities to collaborate and come up with new ideas.”

Claire’s day-to-day responsibilities are diverse, involving external and internal stakeholders. 

"Externally, I collaborate with broadcasters like France TV and SRTL, managing content sales and ensuring our TV series receive optimal exposure while aligning with global launch dates. Internally, I work closely with teams across global and local markets to ensure our content complements marketing campaigns and creates excitement among consumers."

"As the media landscape becomes more concentrated and viewing habits rapidly evolve with technological advancements, we had to rethink our market approach. This shift created new opportunities within the team, allowing me to take ownership of key projects and strengthen my connections across the LEGO Group."

So what has working here meant for Claire’s development?

“From the moment I joined, I was entrusted with key responsibilities, including managing pan-territory deals with major global TV broadcasters. After a year, I took maternity leave, and upon my return, I was welcomed with new opportunities, such as participating in a coaching programme and speaking at a prominent industry conference.”

“Presenting to a professional audience was both exciting and challenging. It pushed me to communicate effectively and address the audience’s interests. It’s a great example of how we’re supported and empowered to take on new challenges. These experiences have helped me grow both professionally and personally.” 

"Our goal is to uphold high standards in content while continuously exploring new ways to engage our audiences. A prime example is the LEGO Friends TV series and our partnership with the Geena Davis Institute, showcasing our commitment to diversity and inclusion, all while embracing humour and storytelling. **Sarah’s** been with the LEGO Group for two and a half years. She’s loved her time here. In her words, “it's been a wild ride, filled with unexpected joys and opportunities”. So what does life as a **Senior Software Engineer** actually look like?

“My main focus is keeping customer data safe and sound on the LEGO.com website, making sure we're all playing by the privacy rules - GDPR and things like that. It might not sound super exciting, but trust me, it's key to making sure our customers have a smooth and worry-free experience.”

“We're really serious about customer data. Unlike some companies that might use it solely to their advantage, we treat it with respect. It's all about using data responsibly to make things better for our customers.”

Beyond her day-to-day work, Sarah’s become super-passionate about building a strong engineering community. 



"One of the main things I like is the cross-collaboration. Often in engineering, we can be very siloed in our teams. But by coming together, it's just been really nice to learn what other people are doing. It gives us all some quality time - whether it’s to troubleshoot challenges or just socialise.”

"It's not like this was something that I was told to do. I kind of like bringing people together. It was partly about showing some leadership and partly that we just did it. And it’s been such a positive way to create a solid engineering culture.”

The emphasis on play, Sarah tells us, doesn’t pack up and go home when the club finishes. It extends into her daily work too. 

"Fun is very much part of the deal here. We play a lot of foosball, which can get a little bit competitive - but in a friendly way. I think it encourages us to give challenging feedback because play gives permission somehow. So we feel like we can talk to each other in a more jokey way. It lightens things up.”

“The fact the team is so diverse helps too. It creates a warmer and more inclusive environment where everyone knows they’re valued and respected. You just feel like you're one of many different types of people. It's just so comfortable and freeing.”

This combination of playfulness, collaboration, and diversity has not only made Sarah's work more enjoyable but has also contributed to her career advancement.



“My role has changed a lot since I joined the LEGO Group. I started on the marketing side, building a preference centre for customers. Then, I moved to my current team, focusing on consent and privacy. And next month, I'm diving into the exciting world of payments, working on the "Brickoin " squad.”

“This constant evolution shows how much the LEGO Group cares about its colleagues’ growth. My People Leaders have been awesome, recognizing my ambition and letting me explore my interests. It's incredibly empowering to have that kind of freedom and trust.”

Just imagine a world where you can combine logic and creativity to propose innovative solutions. This is the idea that drives **Marina**, our **Director of Supply Chain Development**. 

“You could say that my team is the operational glue that ensures every LEGO® set lands where it's needed, when it's needed - whether it’s for a birthday party or a Christmas celebration.” 

“Achieving this means staying ahead of the curve is crucial. We have to keep up with all the latest product drops, sales events, and global happenings that might disrupt the network. For instance, Chinese New Year can lead to a shipping frenzy. Our job is to factor all these elements into ensuring nobody gets disappointed.”

The part of her role Marina enjoys most is developing the supply chain strategy. It’s a complex process that involves bridging the gap between business demands, customer expectations, and the capabilities of our global network.

“It’s about mapping out future goals to enhance operations. Better service quality. Enhancing efficiency. Mitigating environmental impact. It’s all part of the job. I have to understand what’s happening inside the LEGO Group while keeping an eye on industry trends and innovations. This means I can find creative ways to drive positive change.”

Marina’s path here began with a deep admiration for the innovative strategies she first encountered at an MIT conference. After reading the book ‘Brick by Brick’, her passion only grew stronger. 

“I’m a robotics engineer by training. I’ve been tinkering with LEGO systems since college. So when I heard about the new Boston office, I finally saw my chance.”

“It’s been such an enriching experience. The opportunity to collaborate with teams across the organisation has been a good teacher. Whether it’s brainstorming with the finance team or problem-solving with operations.” 

“My people leader has encouraged me to expand my network within the company too. Connecting with colleagues beyond my usual scope and bringing fresh ideas to the table. This collaborative culture, combined with a strong support system, is ideal for innovative new ideas.”

Looking ahead, Marina is excited about the potential for growth within the supply chain.

“I teach Supply Chain to MBA students as a part-time lecturer. When I started here, I made sure to ask about keeping this role. My recruiter saw it as a big plus. This support has been a game-changer for me. It’s reinforced my commitment to excel in both roles.”

**Anna Sophia** finds joy in enabling her colleagues to play better together. She believes in the power of experimenting and having fun. This is how she helps build a positive workplace where everyone can be at their best.

“For me, creating a continuously improving work culture starts with small changes. The impact comes to life whenever those small changes stick and become behaviours. When people ask good questions, it helps us all move towards better ways of working. I love it, for example, when I see a team member ask a powerful question that, I know, previously, they wouldn’t have felt able to."

“I’m a big believer in not taking everything too seriously. I like to help people avoid the trap of thinking what will be, will be. It doesn’t have to be that way. Not if we experiment and have fun doing so. In the long run, we all get something from a more creative approach."

Honesty and kindness are crucial to Anna Sophia’s way of thinking. She believes they help break down barriers.

“Bringing people together is so important. Doing so is helped enormously by creating the safe and supportive environment they need to feel comfortable. They are more likely to express themselves more fully and be willing to take risks.”

“Empathy. Understanding. Recognising that everyone approaches work differently. These are all essential traits and learnings to bring to the table.”


Anna Sophia also embraces the playful spirit that’s part of our DNA.

“A playful mindset means more creativity and greater innovation and solutions.”

“We’re a large organisation. That has its pluses and minuses. But the important thing is that we understand the benefits of work being fun. We’re each responsible for making our own but sharing it with others makes for a richer and more fulfilling environment.” 

“Everyone should try to make play an integral part of their daily work. That could be playing a game in the team or simply using bricks to brainstorm or have conversations.”

“Play helps me create many experiences. It means I can go crazy with something rather than stick with the tried and tested. Of course, I don't always have the luxury of time to make things innovate and exciting. But my brain is wired for coming up with ideas, so I usually come up with many ideas in the dialogues I have on a daily basis.”

In terms of her own career development, Anna Sophia is in no doubt about what makes the biggest difference.

“My people leader is amazing. I was surprised by how important it is to have a leader who believes in you; one who you can learn from and get inspired by. It means a lot for my work satisfaction and motivation.”

“Mindset is crucial too. We may have all these advanced and inventive tools, but if our mindset is the same as it’s always been, we will not improve our organisation. So much is gained from working with the ‘why’ and will small changes work in new behaviours that will enable our organisation to thrive.”

“We’re a team. That’s part of what makes being an Agile Coach such a great job. It gives me a way to support and become part of that team in a different way. This is one of the most satisfying things I can imagine. Fortunately, I get to do it every day.”

**Multilingual Consumer Services Advisor**, **Dragos** tells us that agility, creativity and the ability to adapt are must-haves in his role. He navigates a complex web of consumer queries, while working collaboratively to come up with innovative solutions, all while keeping a playful mindset at the heart of what he does. 

"It’s more than just answering queries"
When Dragos first joined us, he thought his role would be a straightforward customer service position. Instead, he discovered something much more dynamic.
“The role, when I first started, I thought it was really just dealing with consumers, you know, and their frustrations or their happy moments. But it’s quite a complex role because you liaise all the time with different departments—whether that be Global Operations Support, Business Insights, or at different levels of the organisation. Our goal is to put the consumer at the core of our activity, and that’s both fascinating and challenging.”

The unpredictable nature of consumer interactions means Dragos has had to develop a unique problem-solving approach—one that balances efficiency with empathy.

**Embracing playfulness and innovation**

One of the key aspects of Dragos’ role is finding creative solutions to consumer challenges.
“We try to find innovative ways within our departments and teams to support customer queries in a smooth and efficient way, all while ensuring the experience remains playful. Some solutions work amazingly, others don’t, but that’s part of the learning process. We’re all here to grow together.”
He thrives on this balance between structure and improvisation, using every interaction as an opportunity to learn and improve.


**"Modulating your approach is key"**

One core skill Dragos has mastered is adapting his communication style to suit different types of consumers.
“When talking to customers, you have to adjust your tone based on who you’re speaking to. You may be helping a child who’s struggling with a building step, a parent frustrated about a missing birthday gift, or an institution needing a more formal approach. The key is to understand the situation quickly and respond accordingly.”
This ability to flex his communication style ensures every customer feels heard and valued.

**Collaboration is the backbone of outstanding service**

While Dragos enjoys direct consumer interactions, he recognises that true success comes from teamwork.
“Communication is at the core of everything we do. Sometimes we need a solution immediately, like a refund that hasn’t processed correctly, and that requires real-time coordination across teams. We work as one, ensuring the best possible outcome for the consumer.”
The close-knit, collaborative environment is something Dragos values deeply, knowing that each department plays a critical role in delivering seamless service.

**Building a career on continuous learning**

For Dragos, working in Consumer Engagement has opened up countless opportunities for growth.
“There are so many career paths for a multilingual advisor. You can progress within Consumer and Shopper Engagement or move into marketing, community management, business insights, or support different projects. There’s always something new to explore. Plus, we have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that allows us to dedicate time to learning—whether that’s through LinkedIn courses, shadowing other departments, or mentorship.”
This culture of development has allowed him to continuously refine his skills and expand his career possibilities.


**“Our customers’ experiences help to shape us"**
One of the most rewarding aspects of Dragos’ role is seeing how consumer feedback influences the LEGO Group’s evolution.

“We feel everything around our brand. We hear consumers’ opinions first, and their feedback allows us to grow—not just as a company, but as individuals. Whether it’s about building instructions, product design, or customer service improvements, their input drives meaningful change.

“For me, being here is more than just a job—it’s a constantly evolving adventure in problem-solving, collaboration, and playful innovation. And through my work, I’m helping ensure that every LEGO® experience is as good as it gets.

Safae’s approach to customer service is simple yet powerful: focus on empathy, efficiency, and understanding.
“My daily routine starts at 8am. From that moment on, my goal is to bring happiness to every consumer I speak with. Whether it’s solving a missing order, guiding them through a product enquiry, or just reassuring them that we care, I want every customer to leave the conversation feeling valued.

“We’re here to care, we’re here to empathise.”

**Going Beyond Transactions—Creating Meaningful Moments**

For Safae, the most rewarding calls are those where she can make a real impact, especially when children are involved.
“There’s nothing worse than a child eagerly waiting for their LEGO® set and then being disappointed when something goes wrong. Whether it’s a lost shipment or an unavailable set, I do everything in my power to turn that disappointment into excitement again. Sometimes, that means finding a creative solution—like offering an alternative product—to bring back the joy.”

These moments remind her why she loves what she does.


**"Understanding Customers Is More Than Just Listening"**

One of the biggest lessons Safae has learned in her role is the importance of anticipating customer needs.
“Consumers don’t always say exactly what they need. Sometimes, it’s about reading between the lines, understanding their expectations, and finding a solution before they even ask. That’s something I’ve really developed here—learning to pick up on tone, subtle hints, and the emotions behind a request.”

She credits her supportive team and leaders for helping her refine this skill over time.

One of the things that Safae values most about being part of the Consumer and Shopper Engagement (CSE) team, is the strong sense of camaraderie within her team.
“We always say ‘one team, one family’—and it’s not just a saying, it’s how we work. If I ever need help, I know I can turn to my colleagues or my supervisors, and they’ll support me without hesitation. That sense of teamwork makes even the most challenging days enjoyable.”

This culture of support has helped her grow both professionally and personally.


**"The emotional reward is just as important as the financial one"**

For Safae, job satisfaction comes in two forms: tangible rewards and emotional fulfilment.

“Yes, we have great performance-based rewards, and that’s motivating. But more than that, there’s an emotional reward in knowing that I’ve made a difference. When a customer says, ‘Thank you, you saved my child’s birthday!’—that’s worth more than anything.”

**Jasmin’s** journey with us has only just begun but it’s already been anything but ordinary. After joining us in UX design, her passion for research and learning led her to her current role as an **Efficacy & Insights Partner**.

“Imagine being a LEGO® Detective whose mission is to ensure every LEGO Education set is not just fun but also a powerful learning tool. Well, that's my role as part of the Efficacy & Insights team.”

Jasmin is no stranger to the LEGO Group. Her background in product development had already seen her collaborate with the LEGO Foundation. This, she believes, was the ideal preparation for this exciting new opportunity. 

"It’s my job to observe how children interact with LEGO Education sets. This helps me to figure out what it is that sparks their curiosity and enables them to learn, understand and, of course, have fun. It’s fascinating really and so rewarding to see what triggers a smile as they play, build and learn."

“Armed with this evidence, I can then use it to inform the design of future LEGO Education products, ensuring they're both engaging and educational."

Jasmin is involved in shaping the very foundation of efficacy and learning research at LEGO Education.

"We're constantly experimenting with new methods, formats, and theories. It's an exciting time to be part of this team, as we're developing the frameworks that will guide our work and ensure that LEGO Education products deliver maximum value."

Jasmin's role has also been instrumental in her own learning and professional growth:

"I've had the opportunity to develop skills in presenting complex information in a way that's accessible to a wider audience. I've also embraced a mindset of curiosity, constantly asking questions and viewing challenges as opportunities to grow."

Looking ahead, Jasmin is eager to contribute to LEGO Education's mission of making learning fun and accessible for all.

"I'm passionate about purpose-driven work, and LEGO Education's mission aligns perfectly with my own. I'm excited to keep exploring how we can leverage research and thoughtful design methodologies to create even more impactful educational experiences."

“Our commitment to inclusivity is also something I find inspiring. We create hands-on learning experiences that are designed to cater for diverse learning styles and abilities. This makes education accessible and beneficial for all students. Which is how it should be.”

With her passion for research and dedication to learning, Jasmin is poised to make a lasting impact on the future of LEGO Education. **"The LEGO Group has been part of my life for as long as I can remember"**

“My love of LEGO bricks began long before I joined the company. I grew up in the Netherlands with three siblings, and we had this massive box of LEGO bricks. We’d build entire houses, creating little spaces for each room. Whether or not we remembered to include stairs was another story.

“This deep-rooted emotional connection makes working here feel very natural. It also helps me to understand customers more.”


**Solving problems, one brick at a time**

For Phoebe, every customer interaction is an opportunity to make someone’s day better.
“I love problem-solving. Whether it’s a missing part, a hard-to-find instruction manual, or a technical question about a complex LEGO set, I want to be the person who helps find a solution. There’s something really satisfying about taking a call where someone is frustrated and ending it with them feeling happy and supported.

“I remember one customer had an old LEGO set from the ‘80s but had lost some key pieces. They were devastated because the set had so much sentimental value. I spent time searching for solutions—finding replacement parts, tracking down old instructions, and even suggesting ways to recreate missing elements. Seeing how happy they were to rebuild their treasured set made my day.”

Over time, Phoebe has built an impressive knowledge of our vast product catalogue.

“Some customers just give me a vague description—‘It’s a spaceship, but not Star Wars’—and I instantly know the set number. You start to recognise patterns, and certain products just stick in your mind. It’s fun when you can instantly help someone based on memory alone.

“For me, what sets our customer service apart is the genuine relationships we build through each conversation. It’s not just about answering questions. It’s about making people feel heard. Sometimes, you recognise a customer’s name from a previous call, and that little moment of familiarity makes a huge difference. They feel valued and part of the LEGO fan community.”

That personal touch is something Phoebe strives to bring to every interaction.

Phoebe also credits her team’s support and knowledge-sharing culture as a key part of her success.

“We have an amazing system of sharing insights. If I learn something new—like a workaround for a common issue—I share it with my colleagues, so we all get better together. It means we’re always improving and providing the best experience possible.”
